A brief history of Zhongshan Furniture Association

    In 1997, thanks to the effort of the founding members, some far-sighted furniture manufacturers in Zhongshan founded the Zhongshan Furniture Association (ZFA) with the approval of the Zhongshan Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau on October 23 on a voluntary basis in order to strengthen industrial management and drive industrial development. The ZFA is a lawful organization with independent corporate capacity and a nonprofit entity in nature, with above 50 founding members and Mr. He Zhiwei as the founding chairman. At the difficult beginning, the ZFA had to solve many issues, such as development direction, working capital, office location, operating staff, etc. In face of the difficulties, all the members worked together and the ZFA has grown up gradually from scratch. The office of the ZFA was in the Zhongshan Business Building, 26 Qiguan Road West, Zhongshan then, on the same floor as the Municipal General Chamber of Commerce and other peer associations. Over these years, centering on providing services to the members, the ZFA has grown rapidly and created business opportunities for the members by strengthening peer communications, organizing exhibition tours and overseas visits. In 2005, Mr. Liang Xikai, Chairman of the 3rd Council, decided to purchase a permanent office site for the ZFA in consultation with all the council members, which is the present office address of the ZFA: Room 1107, Xingzhong Building, 11 Xingzhong Avenue, Shiqi, Zhongshan. The present chairman of the ZFA is Mr. Li Weiliang, and there are above 120 member enterprises, with the main characteristic business lines of redwood furniture in Dayong and Shaxi Towns, office furniture in Dongsheng and Gangkou Towns, Chinese-style antique furniture in Sanxiang Town, European and American-style antique furniture in Banfu and Sanxiang Towns, with products selling worldwide. With a view to the future, we will perfect the whole industrial chain for the industry, improve our business competence, build up famous product and business brands.
